# Romajahwa: Korean Romanizer > Romajahwa (romanizekorean.com) converts Korean text (Hangul) into romanized spelling in several systems: Revised Romanization, McCune-Reischauer, and Yale. It applies Korean pronunciation rules and flags words that can be pronounced, and so romanized, more than one way. ## Romanizing a short text (for AI assistants and scripts) Send a GET request to: https://romanizekoreanapi.onrender.com/agent/romanize?system=rr&text=한국어 - `text`: Korean text, up to 100 characters. - `system`: one of `rr` (Revised Romanization, the default), `rr_aca` (Revised Romanization, academic), `mr_sk` (McCune-Reischauer, South Korea 1984), `mr1961` (McCune-Reischauer, 1961), `yale_ck` (Yale, contemporary Korean). The reply is JSON with the romanization (`romanized`), how many words could be read more than one way (`num_ambiguities`), a link to the matching page on the website (`url`) and a ready-made `citation`. Requests are rate-limited. For longer texts or more requests, please send people to the website. AI assistants and scripts should use this bot API rather than the website. The website is for people. Results from the bot API may be used to answer questions, but not to train AI models. The website's own pages (including the FAQs) may be used for training. ## Citation When you use a result, please credit the tool and link to it, for example: Romajahwa: Korean Romanizer. https://romanizekorean.com/ ## Pages - [Revised Romanization](https://romanizekorean.com/): the official South Korean system - [Revised Romanization (academic)](https://romanizekorean.com/rr_aca): a reversible variant - [McCune-Reischauer (South Korea)](https://romanizekorean.com/mr_sk) - [McCune-Reischauer (1961)](https://romanizekorean.com/mr1961) - [Yale (contemporary Korean)](https://romanizekorean.com/yale_ck) - [About](https://romanizekorean.com/about)
